Works well if you're watching on a vertical screen like a phone.   Computer screen not so much.   

For the waterfall, certainly it was suited to the framing. For the rest, l felt that landscape would have been better.  Lovely scenes all, though.

Yes, in general,  I agree.  But there is a place for it sometimes.  It only looks good on a vertical display like a phone.

No doubt that portrait mode works great for viewing on tablets and smart phones.
