They have been standing since the 1960s. Originally there were 30 but after hufficane Andrew in 1992, only 6 were left. Now they are part of the state and cannot be rehabilitated so they will wilt away with time.

Good that you got them documented before they succumb to the elements

Seen and commented in the travel thread.  Very unique structures.  Have seen a couple of them on previous fishing boat trips.
