So I got the RS 3 Combo kit and used the usb c cable that it came with to control the focus wheel....worked no problem, but I wanted to use a braided cable. Plugged it in, but no control. Is there anything in a cable that I need to look for in a cable for it to work? I have tried any other usb c cable I have in the house and still nothing, only thing that works is the cable it came with.

We strongly suggest using a cable that came with the unit so we can assure you that you didn't experience any issues. If you wish to use a 3rd party USB C cable, kindly please look for a USB communication cable (data cable) and check if that works. Thank you for your understanding and support.
