Those are hills with a twist did You notice those valleys and potholes have no water in them and no way out for the water? This is because the water in this mountain is sucked into the ground - a very unic landscape!

Yes. Porous rock under the surface, it would seem.And the water will soak trhrough and emerge into rivers lower down the valley.  Very nice area.
