Oh,  The Cracks.......

With the amount of drought we have had in the UK,  I was suprised to witness these cracks in the soil appearing as the harvbest was cut and collected.

This was one of the 48mp images and I had to scale it a lot to upload it.

Remarkable capture DA.    Between the lack of rain and the drying effect the plants have it is no doubt cracks will occur.  One of many worries that a farmer has to contend with after each crop cycle.

Cheers DT.  I was out walking today and noticed some cracks that were 2 feet deep,   not good for people with smaller feet than me.

Wow, 2 feet deep.  That could cause a twisted ankle or knee injury for people with small feet.

Absolutely.  This morning we had 8 days of rain forecasted to start on Friday which is badly needed but it’s already moved out a few more days.

Hopefully, it will eventually come and will be a slow rain and can soak in and not a deluge and just run off.

When it does rain we get about 3 spots each and it done,  not really making any difference.
