I am surprise why the price of the DJI Phantom 3 is starting to Drop, and especially right after Phantom 3 Ruglar version launched with 2K camera. Why i am sensing that Newer Model is on the way!

Also is DJIplanning to release firmware upgrade for Advance camera so it can record 2K as well?

The price hasn't really dropped at all. If you see a lower price, you're not purchasing from an authorized DJI dealer. They are not allowed to sell below MAP.

The dealer is one of the biggest in US (Newegg). If they are dropping the price, I should be worried and Professional for $1179 is one great deal.

Not a fake site. It is Deal finding website, which has posted Coupon to get the price down to $1179. I have confirmed and coupon does work at checkout @ Newegg.

there will not be a 2.7k video for the advanced!!
and off course there will be a newer model out and soon, or are u still using the flip phones of 15 years ago, hell last years phones are now outdated.. all in the name of progress!!!!

I would think it would require a hardware update to jump from 1080 to 2.7k?

Newegg is like Amazon now, they have a lot of sellers and they act like middle men and take a cut for doing the advertising and possibly the warehousing. It used to be Newegg only sold their own inventory, now they have a ton of 3rd party vendors as well.

It's a coupon to bring the price down and NOT A DJI dealer. It's not a price drop from DJI.

Yep...I used to buy ALL of my computer stuff from NewEgg (for several years)....until they got greedy and started the 3rd party crap.  I no longer do business with them.

Totally agree.

Until a few years back, Newegg sold and shipped everything that they had listed on the website. Then they started selling for some third party companies.

I purchased a LED flashlight from them, but it was actually the third party. The light failed to hold a charge within a few weeks and Newegg told me to send it to the third party and I was on my own.

I haven't found a way to only display Newegg items only, so I also haven't purchased from them in a while. Plus the prices appear to be much higher than I can get from Amazon or other computer specialty parts dealers.

Too bad as they were imo better than Tiger Direct.

I can not confirm that in europe, here the prices even rasised a bit because its sold out.Just because a dealer offers discount coupons doesnt mean they dropped the price. I got my preorder P3 for 10% less because my dealer had 10% on everyhting

Thanks to DJI - for latest update for Advance 2K video capture and all the latest features. Now if they can only fix the Android App problems, which is keep crashing in the middle of the flight

Why would you be unhappy?  You can probably expect a new model every year or so, with new features each time.

Regarding the Inspire, that's interesting information,  Inspire 2 with obstacle avoidance? Hope so, but I don't don't think that technology is quite ready for prime time.     DJI's Obstacle avoidance research here

I seen about a secondary FPV front camera.

More power?  Guidance? Not sure.

Also heard that the X technology is coming out August/2016. If so, that will be the Phantom 4.
