Out this afternoon filming for a client and we had to finish early as storms were approaching. I decided to grab a shot of this Caterpillar earth mover with the storm clouds abound.

Great shot!    Those are some quite ominous clouds, no doubt about a storm brewing.

For a newbie like me it would be cool to see the post/pre edit if you are willing to share. I've only ever worked with portaits. Landscape is a whole other ballgame and much harder in my opinion. Still learning and not even close to doing something as impressive as this one you posted.

This is a perfect example of why shooting in RAW  (DNG) is a good idea. A RAW-file can take so much more tweaking and adjustments without being destroyed. Doing the same with a JPG would give an ugly, noisy image full of banding and artefacts.
