Hi,

I've lost my original Avata adapter (single charge).

I tried connecting a ~16V power supply to the battery pins directly, like I already did with other DJI drone batteries in the past, but with the Avata I get the "LED4 | blinks four times per second | Non-DJI adapter" error.

Is it possible to bypass this error and charge the battery without the adapter?

Please DJI enable USB-C charging on the drone, like the MINI 3 and MAVIC 3.

If and when the Fly More kit is available - it's not available in all countries...yet ;)

... because of the built-in "intelligence" that ensures that the batteries work for a very long time (e.g. do not "bloat up"), it will not be possible to charge them correctly without the right accessories...

Hi! The "intelligence" is inside the battery. Load balancing, etc, all inside the battery. The adapter is just a voltage converter + authorizer.

Contact DJI Support to buy another adapter. There really is no substitute.
