I only use RTH for emergencies. The crash that happened was due to loss of signal and me not having set the height properly for that location.
Decals are of no use here for birds. Around the ocean the gulls are very aggressive around drones. Inland the hawks and falcons are easily attracted to the drones. I've learned that to escape them it is best to ascend quickly and leave the area. The predator birds can dive faster than they can ascend which is why I climb vice descending when they are near.
Thank you for the tips.
In future flights I will pay attention to the RTH height.
During the RTH crash the drone recovered the signal?
Do you repair the crashed drones?
About the birds, your climbing maneuver are very clever.
Do you change the drone to a faster mode to escape, or just maneuver away?
Do the birds get injured by the drone propellers? |
