Absolutely beautiful sunrise capture.    Love the reds in the sky.

Came ashore south of me and it has already been downgraded to a Tropical Storm.  Feeling a few wind gusts but none over 40 mph.  Worst thing is the non-stop rain for hours already.  They say to expect 3-4 inches.  Nice to have some rain, but just not so much all at one time.

I saw a few shots of houses that were destroyed from it.    But I wasnt surprised as they did appear to have foundations.

There was lots of beach erosion and many houses that front the ocean's edge suffered damage.  Saw where lots of piers were swept away.  It was really late in Hurricane season for this one to develop.  I guess with global warming these late ones could occur more often in the future.

One news report I say showed several feet of sand washed inland,    for such a small hurricane I was surprised by the damage.

They say the tidal surge was quite high which in turn caused the majority of the beach and dune erosion.   Despite the hurricane just passing through they had a professional women's surfing event this weekend.  The waves were much higher than normal so I'm sure the surfers appreciated that.

Silver lining for the surfers for sure.    I was watching a short clip and those were some really talented and athletic ladies.
