With low lying fog for the last few days it was the perfect oportunity to pop ones head above the clouds.

Yes,  I clocked up 6 fights but only about 10ft,  as I kept having to unfog / dry the lens.

Yes it did and I had the lens fog a couple of times but it cleared quickly.  I think I few 6 flights to dry and clear the lens to get a few shots.

Yeah, I was thinking that with that thick of fog the drone and probably the lens was getting quite wet.

Good thing you had a lens cloth with you then.  I usually carry a spare microfiber cloth in my bag for any emergency that might arise.  To date, fortunately, I have not had to use it.

I dont usually carry a cloth like that but I had a clean hanky that was of use.

I ruined a lens on an old DSLR once and learned my lesson.  Microfiber cloth or nothing until I get access to one.  Which is why I now always have a spare in my drone or camera bag.

I keep up filters in all my DSLR lenses,  keeps the glass safe but still I have a small lens cloth in those bags.  The mini 3 mostly needed it’s body drying this the clean hanky.

Ahh, so the Mini 3 went to the "drone wash".    I hear you on the lens covers.  

My granddaughter wants to get into photography.  Can you recommend a good beginner mirrorless DSLR camera?  I have a Fujifilm GFX50S but she says it is to complicated for her to learn on.  I've been looking around but now I'm really confused.

I dont know anything about mirrorless,  Im an old school full frame DSLR owner and Im very happy with them.

Well it was worth asking anyway.  For some reason her Photography teacher strongly recommended a mirrorless camera.  I told her to find out more information.

Only drawback to EVF is they do tend to use quite a bit of battery.

To be honest with all the other features in the cameras like GPS the EVF is the least of the worries.
