I have just purchased a phantom 3.

I would appreciate if anyone  could advise on what make of FPV goggles would be compatible to use.

Does an additional camera need to be mounted to the phantom

The only 2 I've heard about are the fatshark dominator V3 fpv goggles and the 2015 Nebula FPV goggles, but I believe you need the DJI HDMI bolt-on for them?

However, it seems that mtnmaddman won't be doing any more of his Nebula goggles due to issues with DJI.

I ordered the DJI HDMI card for one of my P3A's last night and am thinking of ordering a set of Zeiss Cinemizer OLED Video Glasses.  Very pricey but I think they will meet my overall needs better.  I plan on
using them with the Phantom as well as watching movies while traveling.

Don't the goggles have to be 2.4 Ghz since thats what the Phantom 3 is?

Many FPV pilots opt for the HDMI Output Module replacement package:

I have the HDMI module added to my remote and use the cinemizers.  Love them!!!!  I can't speak for any of the others though as I have only seen reviews and don't have any first hand experience to give a review.

You can also use Litchi, with Google Cardboard (or any VR equivalent goggles).  It's a much cheaper option and even supports gimbal head tracking.

hi guys , i am new in this ,i have a P3A connected to a headplay hd and is working good but when the the goggle is connected thru the HDMI port my ipad screen goes off that means that that i can only use 1 at a time,is this normal or i need to do some setting to get both the ipad and the headplay to work together. please advice , thanks

     There is a toggle somewhere that enables both to display.  But, when I heard about it on this forum, there was an issue with it working.  So, patience and perseverance.  Someone will probably remember it before I find it or maybe you will find it.  But let us know if it works for you.

Go into H/D settings the options to display both are there.

Ah man, I bought a set of Dominators to use with my Phantom 2 H3-3D but I was so blown away with my P3 I haven't used them since.  It would be nice to get it to work with my P3.

yeh thats right once you connect the goggles new options become available in hd settings

Do you have any issues with compression on your goggles screen as some have mentioned with the P3A?  I would like to get a set of goggles but am afraid the quality won't be there for the price.  I'm really turned off with the amopunt of screen glare on my tablet.

Have looked at the HEADPLY HD FPV with HDMI connection to the P3 MC. Picture inside the Goggles are amazing clear sharp fab! All flight info is in it too. But no Camere blend in to alter camera settings.
