Is there anyone who isn't spying on everyone else LOL? I think not. Google is tracking every single step and stop we make - there is a video of a reporter with 2 phones not connected to any internet connection, one didn't have even a SIM card, and he drove around the city having them on himself. Later they put a man-in-the-middle device before connecting both to internet and they scanned the internet traffic. What a surprise to see that BOTH phones collected enormous amount of data about every stop the reporter made, and about everything else. How are Apple? Are they different? How about the apps we have installed on our smartphones? Each app is collecting a lot of data about the user. Spying is nothing new and the only way to TRY to avoid spying is to stop using any digital device and move to the mountains. But the satellites can find you there too
We are the product and this is not always a bad thing. Take, for example, some product that needs constant improvement, like a drone The company that makes the product needs a lot of feedback from its devices and/or users in order to know how to improve their products.
So it's not all negative but sometimes it's a win-win situation. |
