Hey pilots,

Thinking about treating myself for a late Christmas gift of a DJI Mini SE. Should I buy it? What are the pros and cons?

I’m a total beginner. I have flown drones before but probably not for longer than like 2 hours in my whole life. If you have any insight or alternative options, please share!

If you have the budget the Mini 2 or Mini 3 is a better choice as they have Ocusysnc which is much more reliable.

I think you'd be better off purchasing a Mini 2 or Mini 3.  Both have better signal strength between drone and RC than the Mini SE.  You could also consider purchasing a used MINI 2 and see if you really want to get back into drone flying.  I've purchased both a used Mini 2 and a used Air 2 and had zero issues with either one.
