Natural gas lines have been replaced in my neighborhood.  I received a new line last week (IN WINTER... where the ambient temperature fell 15 degrees F in the 5+ hours needed for the work)..  Old line disconnected...

Not the best time of year for such work, to be sure.  I guess the hole in the lawn will be topped up later

No official word (there is a local fire department website), but I wonder if there was a connection to the gas line work and the fire...

Locally. temps had been running around 30 F leading up to the fire...
