Does DJI honor all warranties on a 'new in box' DJI FPV, just as it would if it had been bought at a normal retailer?

In Sept 2019 I bought a used/refurbished Mavic Air on eBay. It "landed" in a river when the batterie jumped from >50 % to 0%. DJI replaced it at no cost even though I couldn't get it out of the river.

purchase dji care refresh and you have no worries

where it says " DJI Care Refresh + is only bound to the DJI products you purchased from DJI official or authorized channels"

I bought a used Avata from a "used stuff dealer". It was still bound to the previous owner. The store contacted him after I asked them to and he unbound it.
After that I could get DJI Care Refresh 2 years for the Avata after having done a video verification check.

The Avata had been activated 165 days earlier by the previous owner. So I think you can get one used as long as it works well and the previous owner unbound it from their account. Good luck.
I think number 2 excludes stolen stuff...
