I need to buy a new phone anyway, so what will run these apps will be part of the deciding criteria.

1.) On any of these pages for DJI Fly App;

It says "Requires iOS 11.0 or above."
Then below it says "For older versions: click to download"
However it does not say what older versions are compatible.   What older versions are compatible?



2.) On this page for DJI Virtual Flight;
https://www.dji.com/downloads/djiapp/dji-virtual-flight

It says "Requires iOs 12.0 or above."   
But then it goes to say   "Compatible with Recommended Devices: " many of which are below iOs 12.0


What is the correct information?

Since "even" iOs 12 runs on an iPhone as old as the 5s and you're talking about getting a "new" phone you shouldn't worry (unless you want to get a new phone from someone's attic ;-)). So even a used iPhone from say 2 or 3 years ago should be fine.

1. The "older versions" mentioned are the iOS devices running below iOS 11.0. To clarify, you may try installing the app on older versions, but we cannot guarantee its performance and stability. Hence, we recommend you use the ones listed as compatible devices.
2. The iOS devices in the Compatibility List run on the newest iOS version (iOS 16). If the user's iPhone is not running on the latest version, we recommend that they update it.
