Blue hour at the oyster farm...........

Managed to get a visit in at really low tide,  although even when the water is at its lowest they are still partly in the water.

I was hoping they might have been working,  but alas that was not the case.,   Although they have a yellow tele handler that looks so clean I doubt they use it.

I've seen those "buymea" link before.  I say whatever works is the way to go.  3 kg of coffee will last you a while.

I'm assuming you buy the beans but where do you store them to keep the freshness in?

They come in 1kg bags that once opened gets folded over and clipped and then stored in a plastic sealed container,   I tried to vacuum seal them once but they need to be able to breathe.  The bags have a little vent for that.

I think I now know why a bag I had vacuum sealed went bad.  I now keep the bag with the top folded over and clipped and on a dark cupboard shelf.  Seems to taste better and last longer that way.

If you keep them too long the coffee seems to get bitter but thats not a problem here - I drink too much and always take one with me for my morning drone flights.

Back during my active days in the Navy I'd be drinking coffee all day.  Since I retired I'm down to 2-3 cups per morning.  Which is why I only buy small bags of coffee beans.  When they get bitter tasting I toss them.

Funny I was the same.  When I first started working I would drink near on 10 cups a day.  Ive cut back a lot since then.

It was easy in the Navy because every office seemed to have a coffee pot in it.  We never ran out of coffee onboard ship either.  We could run low on fruit and vegetables but never on coffee.
