So today I finally got my Insta360 ONE RS with 4K Boost Lens, so it was out testing it out to make a comparizon between theese two great cameras.

And if you checked where I did all the sharpness tests, it actually think High would work great.

No sharpening added on OA3, there is like no need for it I have seen.

luv the HDR mode of the Insta  does a great job

Thanks for sharing. For now I have given up on 360 cameras and returned mine last year simply because the rendered video output is only 1080p even though recording is done at 4K. Because the videos I make are for my pleasure and to share with my family, I like to watch them on a 55 inch TV screen, so I do notice the difference between 4K and 1080p. If 360 cameras could capture 4K video and produce a native 4K video output I might consider buying another 360 camera but for now I won’t.

I totally agree with you, and that's why I doesn't use 360 cameras and this Insta360 is only with 4K lens on if you did watch the video?

The only 360 camera that deliver true quality in 4K, is the 1 inch version Insta360 have, but it is double the price and not water thight.

The 6K video is here but youtube doesn't put it out as 6K even it is exported and uploaded as 6K. I think it could be since it is 2:35 aspect that youtube doesn't like.

I hear you on that.  Guess 6K and 8K videos would eat up a lot of server storage space.

I had ONE R last year and loved/hated it, and this RS version have fixed almost everything I hated with the old one. And for the price I think it will be a good second camera for my videos. And the color science is closer to DJI than gopro is + I didn't want to get another OA3 at this point since we never know how the focus will be + it cost more.

If you doesn't need a new camera, don't buy. But like I said I actually needed another camera since I doesn't feel that my old OA1 is hanging up for the improvments newer cameras have and I need atleast 2 cameras for my videos
Just hope I will be pleased with my new Insta, and can't wait for creating content with it.

if I could get used to the  Module, leaving as is I be Happy.  I am  going to invest in a Review camera, and do not want to Hijack the thread.   the Insta just make sure you snap together the unit, may want to look at the small rig cage but the Insta frame is mighty fine

I don't mind if you hijack my thread, we could keep it for other brands than DJI even or for comparizon between camera brands.
The module system is a good idea, but I just keep it as ordinary camera and don't bother using other modules. But the 1 inch module do look really great, but not for the price itself.

The cage is really good and not like media mod for gopro that was a pain to use and also had to take of the side cover making it not water thight.

In the beginning OA3 looks better, but if you saw later the Insta is was sharper and looks more detailed. But like I mentioned it was not a scientific test

I doesn't have the 360 version, since the quality would be more like 1080p and not high enough quality for most of us Europeans

It is way too less resolution because youtube zooms in quite a lot, which leaves you with 720p resolution.
I think you need at least 5 sensors to get a decent viewing experience.
But maybe they can push the limits further on 2 camera setups.

Have actually been thinking about having a 360 camera would work great while plowing with my atv. I could set it up standing in the snow and just adjust in post which angle to show on video. But again need the quality and not for that price.

That I agree! Imagine the pocket 3 with 360 interchangeable head unit outputs 4k
