You can calibrate the compass in both directions.

can do.    but than you need to fly upside down.  

not only upside down but also south north reverse, go home then fly away

OMG... So that is why I have been having so many compass errors. I guess that's because I am Left Handed.

i just did a clockwise compass calibration and ended up in DJI tech support in china, and guess what?
they dont exist!!! its a black hole!!! shhhhh, i see someone coming

So if the Earth is rotating counter-clockwise and you calibrate it counter-clockwise, aren't you actually standing still?

No wrong again, if earth is rotating clockwise and u rotate the "DRONE", omg not the DRONE, anti clockwise then u create a black hole which in turn will fix all the compass and FW issues a lot of Klingons are having!!

No again, someone didn't do the FW correctly added to the fact of clockwise compass rotation, the sun couldn't rotate

I competed the compass calibration in a clockwise direction and all went ok.  Soon after the calibration I received a message on the DJI GO App to update the firmware via the App which I did.  After the update I was able to implement and use Follow-me, Point of Interest, Way Points and IOC!  Also, I now have terrain and obstacle avoidance (would be great for Ray to avoid trees).   Also. I was able to set a new altitude and distance record which will be official after DJI verification.  I was sent a DJI4Q for Beta testing.

Clearly, all too scientific for me.  I just went to bed and when I woke up someone had fix it...prolly tech support.

If you calibrate clockwise and nose up, it unlocks a special flight mode on the P3P.
