A 360 sphere of the interior of Huddersfield Town Hall, West Yorkshire, Englandshire of the UK.

I previously abandoned this sphere months ago because of the drone drifting and creating lots of stitching errors.
I thought I'd waste some time fixing it. So after 10 hours I got this. It's not perfect, but better than nothing.

You seem to have a good relationship with the city fathers.

The quality of your stitching is excellent, especially considering how many parallax errors an erratically moving drone produces. The only thing that still bothers a bit is the gap in the zenith. Have you ever thought about an initial vertical shot?

I just emailed the Town Hall and asked to visit.

I used PTGui (version 11.9 I think) on this image and used the masking feature for the first time.
It worked pretty good at times, but when you've got 4 images overlapping and they could be different brightness values due to the clouds outside, it can be difficult to mask out certain parts of each overlapping image and find the best one.

I do have Affinity Photo 2. I did try to fix the zenith, but I can't figure out how to select an area and warp it or mirror clone it etc, like I can with Photoshop. So I just leave it.

Have you ever tried PanoramaStudio 3 Pro? There you can set that the position data of the individual images (incl. pitch and yaw!) are read out. So not only the 35 pano images are perfectly positioned, but also the vertical one automatically exactly in the zenith area. Furthermore, the exposure correction, respectively the exposure compensation with PS3P is much better than PTGui's (User Bussty recently switched from PTGui to PS3P after a long time because of this!) There is a trial version, give it a try.

Yes, I've got that software.
I haven't found any tutorials about how to use it properly. I've experimented with the Control Points on previous spheres, but they didn't seem to fix the joined images. So now I just use to to convert the flat pano into a spherical pano.

I must admit that I have never used the control points in PS3P. The automatic positioning has always worked well enough – although I haven't had any serious parallax errors in my landscape panoramas. For me it was usually enough to use "change image alignment..." under "Edit" before rendering, with this I could usually improve the result. But for the final finishing you will probably also need the Photoshop/Affinity retouching.

And don't forget to check the box "Place non-aligned images using metadata"!

Thanks for the advice.
I've just tried the Town Hall files in PS3P and it makes a total mess of it. I tried to just fix the steps in front of the organ by masking and/or control points, but it did nothing.
I'll stick with PTGui and Microsoft ICE.

I just used auto exposure and manual white balance.
But I did brighten up the interior a lot in Photoshop, especially around the organ and stage areas.
