We had a tree partially fall in a recent windstorm, so called a tree service to take it out. They identified three others that were either dead or threatening the house, so we had them take out all three of them. They used a lift for the old dead fir, taking it down a section at a time. Many more to go, it's an ongoing project.

Great shot.    Sorry to hear about the other 3 trees needing to be taken down but safety is always the first concern.  Don't want one of them crashing down on the house.  I had to have 2 old oak trees taken down and it was a bit expensive so I'm sure your project will not be cheap.

Not cheap, even here in the Upper Left Corner, where trees grow like weeds. There are lots left, we have about 2 acres of property, mostly in trees.

Nice to have all the other trees then.  When the grandkids come over they are always climbing up in my trees.  The youngest one told me "Grandad, don't worry we will not hurt your tree".  Guess he cant' climb trees at home because somebody must have told him that climbing them would hurt them.

Indeed it does.  The youngest grandson loves to fish so we get out as often as possible.  One of the other grandsons is an adrenaline junkie so he is big into racing gokarts.  I had a gokart but nothing like his.  Not sure how much his dad paid for it but I'm fairly sure it wasn't cheap.  Here is a shot of his beast.

Wow, that's crazy. I recall go carts from when I was young being fun to drive, but nothing so sophisticated as that.

I know exactly what you mean.  Of course my gokart cost next to nothing compared to what I can only assume this one cost.  The engines on these things have so beastly torque.  Crazy speeds too.
