My Phantom 3 Pro has been working flawlessly until yesterday.

My DJI GO app told me to update my firmware, so I followed the step as per instructions and after coming back to the completed 'beeping' noise, I noticed the txt file on the SD card said that my firmware was already up to date

When I turned on my Phantom 3, my gimbal started making a grinding and vibrating noise.

The update I tried to load was v1.3.20
Now my gimbal won't stop malfunctioning

I tried a variety of calibrations, but it kept failing

I've taken a video of the noise in hopes someone else here has experienced this (and hopefully found a fix)

Forgive the loud background noise, for some reaon, every time i recorded with my iphone it made that annoying noise,,,,but you should still be able to hear the grinding

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated

Definitely hear the grinding (is quite difficult with the electrical interference noise, but it is there).   Have you tried to recalibrate the gimbal?

Sorry about noise, no matter how many times i recorded, my iphone keeps picking up that noise from somewhere (it's not audible while recording...just in the video...but that's another problem )

I did try re-calibrating gimble, but it fails every time.

I've got to echo that.   Maybe try with tech support at DJI (if you can get them to answer), but that really sounds like there is something wrong with the gimbal's servo motors or gyroscope.

I'm more curious on what caused it.  You said after you did a FW update, SURELY this wouldn't cause this......right?

The same thing has happened to mine. I thought it was just me. it sounds like a gear grinding. I recalibrated everything, Reset everyting. and still the same thing.

Mine is doing exactly the same thing.  Is that an allen wrench you used or a phillips (what size). I cant see anything in the hole . the arm does wobb
le a little and I can see where it has rubbed the bottom of the housing a little.
