I am a Newbie to Drones and want to try a simulation before flying.

  

DJI Mini 2 (V01.06.0200)+ RC231 (RC-N1) 04.11.0200

  

Huawei P9 lite  -  DJI FLY  1.9.4

  

Dell E7450 laptop i5 8GB

  

Windows 10 Pro V 22H2  os build 19045.2728

  

DJI Assistant 2 (consumer drones) V2.1.16

  

Safety data 01.00.01.29

  

  

Brand new drone, never flown, tried for 6 hours to use simulation.

  

Can connect phone-controller-drone

  

or Drone-dji Assistant 2

  

But not phone-controller-drone - Assistant 2

  

start sequence: [phone ON , laptop ON, propellers off]

  

open Assistant 2 on laptop

  

cable controller to phone

  

open DJI fly App

  

cable Drone to Laptop

  

turn contoller ON

  

turn drone ON

  

  

Also tried turning drone ON before controller. This shows Drone on Assistant 2

  

with options to update, Log Export & DJI Assistant Log. Not calibration. Not Simulation

  

Device manager then shows Ports: DJI USB Virtual COM (COM8)

  

DJI Fly shows Unable to take off> Disconnect aircraft from USB (Code: 30254)

  

Disconnect USB from Drone, DJI Fly 'Take off with caution'

  

Reconnect Drone to laptop with USB , Drone shows on Assistant , but DJI fly won't connect to Drone until laptop disconnected….

  

  

Any ideas?

Hi, j13. Thank you for reaching out. Are you trying to use DJI Assistant 2 as a Flight Simulator? Regretfully, DJI Assistant 2 for Mini 2 doesn't have that kind of feature. You won't be able to see calibration options as well since DJI Mini 2 doesn't have any vision sensor to be calibrated (it only consists of a downward vision system).  The DJI Assistant 2 for Mini 2 supports exporting flight data and firmware upgrades only. DJI Assistant nu este un simulator de zbor. Este un program de gestionare a firmware-ului.

DJI Virtual Flight este un simulator, dar funcționează numai cu drona DJI FPV și DJI Avata.

DJI nu are planuri pentru un simulator pentru seria Mini.

Hi, Fly12. DJI Assistant 2 for Mini 2 cannot be used as a simulator. The main use of the DJI Assistant 2 for this drone is to utilize firmware updates. Regretfully, there's no current simulator compatible with DJI Mini 2. We're sorry for the inconvenience.

Try again after disabling your firewall during the use of DJI Assistant 2.
