huh.  I didn't know there was anything to download because I used screencast from my DJI RC PRO to my samsung smart TV.  I didn't download or install anything for it to work.  It just worked. LOL Maybe I was lucky.

Tom_765 is right. There is no need for additional software on the controller.

I had no screencast app on my DJI RC Pro until I installed the app.

Tom_765 and pspec, are you saying your DJI RC Pro came with a screencast icon?

I think what they are saying is that you don't need screencast with a Samsung smart TV.

How would you screencast without an icon to start it?

Smart controller or RC Pro? My RC Pro does NOT have the Screencast built in.

Yours has the screencast built-in, but it’s just not visible yet.

In order to make mine visible, I had to cast to one of my TVs that supports it.

To make it visible on your RC Pro:

1. On your RC Pro, Go to Bluetooth settings
2.  Click cast
3. Click the 3 dots in upper right hand corner and enable it
4.  Cast to a TV.   In my case, it gave me a choice between my Microsoft  Wireless Display Adapter (living room Tv) or a Roku TV (in guest bedroom)
5. After you connect it once, the “screencast” will become visible when you swipe down twice.

I don’t have any additional third party software on my RC Pro.

I assume that my guest BR  ROKU TV must have miracast support already built in, but I never tried it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miracast

So I've spent the better part of an hour trying to figure this out, with zero luck. Does this not work on the DJI Enterprise version of the controller? I have the M3T with the DJI RC PRO Enterprise and can't find any way to screen mirror on my controller.

Look in the settings menu and go to Bluetooth. Then click on the three dots in the top corner. DJI has it sort of hidden for some reason. It's not as smooth of a connection process as most Android phones are these days. Probably because all the Google Services aren't in the RCs flavor of Android. That's why casting to Chromecasts and others is a 2 click process on phones.

That's the thing, I can't seen to find the bluetooth portion in my settings. I can open up the bluetooth connection page, but theres no three dots on it. First photo is of what I see when i open up the Bluetooth icon itself, the rest is what I have in my settings.

I got all excited when I found this thread until I read your post.  I have the M2EA and the M3T.  I routinely cast the controller for my M2EA to my computer so third parties can watch remotely (without internet) without using a third party app.  This has been missing since launch on the M3T and I was hoping it would be released with a firmware update by now.  I guess it's not based off of your post.

No it's there for your M3T. I have the RC Pro Enterprise as well. Once you connect to a TV the Cast button will be added to your drop down menu. I'm not sure why DJI has it hidden until you connect for the first time. It works best with Samsung TV's, Roku's and casting to a laptop can be hit or miss. I think this is Windows 10/11 projecting is unreliable at best.

I just checked this morning and sure enough, it is there.  Had no problem casting to my computer screen provided it was in wireless display mode.  Works great.  Glad they implemented this as it is a great tool for other parties to be monitoring the progress of a flight.

Thank you for this.
Without the App, I couldn't cast. With the App I could cast to a LG TV.

Is there a (free) way to cast to a phone (Android/Samsung) which would be useful outside?

Casting is no more possible on my DJI RC Plus. I enabled it via the three dots but i don't have that point in the menu when swiping down with my finger from the top and no devices show up, no roku etc.

Was there any changes in the past?
