Turned out a bit mixed in the end,    this morning was miserable with the threat of rain,    and shortly its gardening time at the parents.

Dull here but Mrs.B has declared a shopping trip is in order. Maybe some Pocket2 opportunities en route.

I usually make a point of questioning a detail that I know she will have missed to make her take a second look.

It does make me wonder what will happen if/when remote id gets launched.

Remote ID is a bad subject here.  I think there will be a surge in the number of pilots being confronted by people that dislike drones.  The numbers have increased over the last year and that is without full remote ID implementation.

I saw that one hack listed on the GitHub.  No doubt many more will pop up between now and September.

This remote id is all driven by a few bad pilots and of course the commercial drone delivery companies as they would love to push recreational flyers to FRIAs only.

Do you have many FRIA's there,   Im assuming if they did that here they would be at the model AC clubs and they are few and far between.

Only one in the area at this time and it is mostly used by RC airplane hobbyists.  I went there once with a friend to fly his drone and he wasn't received real well.  Seems like the RC A/C gents are a bit anti-drone.  As long as I can still fly over all my land I'm happy.  When only commercial delivery drones can fly over m y property I'll be very upset.  I might have to invest in a jammer.    J/K.

Ive heard that too here,     but the local model AC club did build an FPV field,  although Ive not seen it used.

In some pics I saw they had the things to fly through and what not but Ive not seen it setup and used since.

Maybe it was a one-time thing?   Or maybe, it just didn't draw in enough FPVers.  I wish I could fly FPV but I found out quickly with the cinewhoop I bought that even sitting down to fly I would get dizzy.

I really fancy an avata,  and the issues with rules flying it aside, the dizziness does concern me.

The Avata is a great little FPV drone.  I think DJI hit a home run with this model.  Sadly, I have to continue to pass on it.  I'm thinking about getting the grandson one for his birthday in July.  However, my friend has agreed to let him fly his cinewhoop first to make sure he will not have any issues.

I've seen a few used Avata for sale here but they are trying to get the price of a new one.  I'm thinking they were impulse buys and probably are trying to recuperate almost the entire initial investment.  Although I see more DJI FPV for sale than the Avatas.

Thats the same here, Avata's and the DJI RC second hand command like new prices.

I wonder if that will change when the next version of the FPV comes out?  Just mulling out loud as I will not be buying one anyway, at least no o myself.  I'm thinking if the grandson does okay on his test flight with my buddy then it would make a great birthday gift for him.

At some point the prices have to come down,    Im not keen on a second hand FPV as the batteries have such a short lifecycle.
