I saw in the training videos that if I turn on the RS2 gimbal when the axis are locked, it damages the motor/gimbal? The RS2 users manual doesn’t warn about this though. Couldn’t DJI make an automatic system to stop motor when the axis is locked to prevent from damaging motor? It seems to be easy to add this feature for an expensive device like RS2. Does anyone have any information on this?

Hi there. Here are the answers to your inquiries:
1. When the DJI RS 2 gimbal axis lock is not unlocked, the device itself will trigger the motor protection to enter the sleep status (to avoid motor damage), and the alarm sounded at the same time, this situation will not damage the motor;
2. It is mentioned in the DJI RS 2 user manual that before the motor is automatically calibrated, it is necessary to ensure that all three axis locks are open;
3. DJI RS 2 cannot achieve automatic axis lock due to structural and functional limitations.
Please reach us back here should you have further concerns.
