Yeah, Pink Mountain is pretty close.
I drove up the mountain on a day off but I thought it was too windy to launch the quad.
But it gives you quite a view.

Yeah, it is nice country up there. Not so much in the winter.

You oilfield or something? Chevron had a bunch going on near horn river I think.  
Could be done now.

I'm MWD so that explains the free time....

She's really beautiful country up there. Been to Fort St.John many times myself.
A one Friends dad used to own the Copper King Cabaret. Did some bow hunting there as well...

Awesome place to visit, but I prefer the city... ;-)

Progress is owned by Petronas the Malaysian government oil company I think. You working in the north Montney for gas? Some big plays up there. Wouldnt be an Ensign rig doing the drilling is it?  Looks like that fracking up there is getting blamed for a 4.4 earthquake. LOL

I think Petronas really needs this gas which is a good thing right now.
I'm on a Horizon rig, drilling for gas. I saw an Ensign rig sign down the highway a few days ago.
There was an earthquake on August 17, 4.6 magnitude. We felt it pretty good, basically it was under our feet, computer screens, water bottles, books, all tipped over.There was some fracking going on just 4-5 kilometers from us but I don't think it was related.
It was pretty scary, first we thought a truck drove into our shack.
It was even scarier up on the rig from what the crew was saying.
