Perhaps in a future firmware update, but currently no. My dog gets scared.

I would like programmable startup tones.... like the Imperial March, Flight of the Valkyrie etc....

yes the phantom3 is making that noise and it is coming from a tiny built in speaker.
there is a way around the problem without the extreme measures recommended by normally serious Sploodge.
in order to stop your cat from getting scared every time you turn on phantom3, put p3 back in the box and return it to DJI as it is clearly a FW problem which will effect the compass too.  when asked the reason for retur, inform them that the p3 is not cat friendly and you have gotten fined by PITA for cruelty to animals.

It's not a speaker ray..  It's the motors.

Hold onto one of the motors and turn it on.

( Just to be clear, don't hold on to it when you try to take off or arm the bird, that would hurt. :-) )

but good catch though.

I did wonder....  As an aside, one of my home-built quads has a backed version of the blheli firmware on the ESC's and it places mission impossible on startup. :-)
