Seems the tent is here to stay and keeps growing,   as promised to @HDGC84 heres a little update shot.

Nice find. Almost seems as iff there's a person with a black overall and a red helmet standing on the right side of the green rectangle.

Late last summer I was walking a new route and I came across a field that had some really lovely looking corn on the cob,  so I picked a couple to have with dinner,   they turned out to be field corn and Inedible.

  That's cattle feed. It's grown extensively in France as their main feed crop. You could boil it for a fortnight and it would still be inedible.

Yes,   we usually microwave whole cobs and these came out like steel.    lesson learned,     what I need to know is how to tell the difference on the plant.

Sweetcorn generally only grows to 4 or 5 feet, whereas Maize, or field corn for cattle feed has a much thicker stalk and grows typically to above head height - sown in April and harvested late September.

I know a couple of places they are growing this year so later I will check out the theory.  Sainsbury already had fresh cobs on sale for 60p would you believe.
