I crashed my mini 2 se on its very first flight, but only damaged the propellers and luckily I was still able to pick it back.


But not so lucky a few months later. It is stuck in a tree on the steep side of a mountain.

You're not having much luck, are you. Thank goodness for Care Refresh.  Maybe keep away from trees in future

Now that was very lucky.  I did the same but also damaged the gimbal.

I admit that we do need luck to fly a drone out there.

true~ when I gave up trying to get the drone back the second time, I heard the local person said that weeks ago someone other lost a bigger one, perhaps Marvic 3 in that mountain

That can happen within VLOS as well - because you look at the screen to control your recording, too.

Yes, absolutely.  We really need a third eye

Try to keep a close eye on the drone

I straight up crashed my mini 2 head on into wall first flight..
That beast shrugged it off and wanted more..
I've crashed my mini 3 Pro now twice,, (slight operator errors),
and ran this little guy through some pretty tough situations.
DJI makes the best quality drones.
All I gotta say..

haha, im a such rookie who stares at the RC only after taking off.
But can you see your drone after taking off? i can barely see my drone soon after perhaps a 100m distance.

indeed. you can get the best quality drone at a certain price.
no wonder dji can dominate the drone market.
i just sold my mini 2 se after i got replacement drone with dji care, now im flying mini 3 as well, and it's awesome!

Move closer if you can't see it.
You need to keep an eye on it.
Especially when flying close by.

I agree! These drones are built phenomenal, I had the bright idea to fly mine in the house 3 minutes after unboxing (over excited) it went into the wall and did some back flips down the stairs… propellers are a little scratched but other than that it works fine! Lesson learnt!

Before I fly around I go straightup to the level I wantto shoot. Then I do a spinto see if I have clearanceinevery direction.  Before I do a dolly or move backward I always turntoward the direction and check. Then visual line of sight. If you do those things you will have less crashes.
