I was only shooting in JPEG at the time. No DNG files.

The remove tool isn't limited to DNG it works on any image.

No doubt it was a great area then.  I'm kind of surprised that you moved from France to the UK.

A number of factors weighed the balance in favour of the UK, eventually.
But I could cheerfully have stayed that side of the Channel otherwise.
