After a few weeks in the box, the Matrice 300 Smart Controller won't charge.  One light flashes at the top and it doesn't recognize the extra battery in the back.

Hello, there. How about charging the remote controller without the external battery? Does the light indicator act the same or nothing?

It was the charger. Only the DJI charger CV24 got it to charge.
