Hello,

With Samsung S22 Ultra (Android 13), the DJI Mimo 1.10.1 app works fine with DJI OM5.
I just got my Osmo Action 4 but I can't register it because it tells me the app is too old.

I just downloaded the new version but it doesn't work. Black screen.
How to do ?

Same here. I don't have the sharpening option available and the default sharpening looks fugly.

Download newest MIMO app from dji download, just google where to download.
When you connect it to your camera it should pop up with new firmware available.

I always put on Bluetooth cellular data + wifi to be sure.

Have you connected Mimo to your camera?

About Sharpening etc.
Click on right side and activate Pro
Under Color there should be Image Adjustment if your older firmware have it?

Yes, I updated MIMO, connected it to camera, I can see the live view and do all the settings.

I go to settings and can select D-Log-M but sharpening option is not there. And I can see that I don't have the firmware that is advertised at the original post of this thread.

This is my comparison of GoPro11 and Action 4. Action 4 shot was ruined due to ugly sharpening. Otherwise it was nice. Both were shot in Log profile. GoPro requires GoPro Labs firmware to activate LOG, it is not available otherwise.

I find it really strange it is happening to yours, and now I know from your video that you are not unexperienced either. Really good flying there, OA4 didn't look too bad, gp11 looks terrible from what I saw.

Notifications but not updated like it's locked And after using it, the recorded video files are completely deleted.

Hey everyone,

I recently got my hands on the brand new DJI Osmo Action 4, and while I'm absolutely thrilled with its features, there's one rather frustrating bug that's been bothering me. I thought I'd bring it up here to see if anyone else has encountered this issue or found a workaround.

Bug Description:
When using the DJI Osmo Action 4 in webcam mode (UVC) via USB, I've noticed that there's no way to turn off the back screen. Strangely, the front screen turns off just fine as it should, but the back screen remains lit. I've experimented with various settings, including the option to turn off the screen while recording, but no luck so far.

Importance of This Feature:
The ability to turn off the back screen in webcam mode is really important. Not only does the screen drain the battery faster, but it can also be distracting when used at night or while walking down the streets. Many of us use the DJI Osmo Action 4 for IRL streaming, and having the back screen on constantly is a significant inconvenience. This is particularly true for those who take their streaming seriously and need a consistent setup that's more reliable than wireless connections to phones and then to RTMP.
Feature Request:
While addressing this bug, I'd like to suggest that DJI takes the opportunity to enhance the webcam mode even further. Currently, the webcam mode operates at 30fps, but given the capabilities of the UVC protocol and USB-C, there's no reason not to support 1080p60 as well. This would be a tremendous improvement for those of us who are looking for smoother and more professional streaming quality.

I'm hoping that by discussing this issue here, we can draw some attention to it and maybe even catch the eye of DJI's development team. Please chime in if you've encountered this bug too, or if you have any insights on how to work around it. Additionally, let's discuss the potential benefits of having a higher frame rate in the webcam mode.

Hello, I just have my Action 4 and I'm impressed. There is 1 problem with sending files to my PC. After recording some video's, sending to my PC (Windows 11) all went well, but 1 day later, I could not send my files. My PC says: disk must be formatted. I have this on my 2 Windows 11 PC's. On my Ubuntu linux PC, I can sent the recorded video's, even after my windows pc told me to format the drive (which of course I didn't). Until now I can always see on and download my video's to my iPhone. So I think it is a little problem, but I hope it gets resolved soon.

2023-August 21:
Same problems today:
- factory reset first
- format SD card
- then recordings
- then download to windows PC, that goes well
- adding a new recording is also possible
- Now connect it to the Windows PC again, the Action 4 is no longer available. On a Linux PC (Ubuntu), all files are still accessible and can be copied.

I also have some problems with my Røde microphone, the first 4 seconds strange sounds, after that, perfect audio recordings. Strange but after downloading to my Windows PC, now the external microphone workts perfect, no strange sounds in the beginning. Maybe it has something to do with the problems above.

Am I really the only one who cannot upload his files on a Windows 10 or 11 PC because the Action 4 is not recognized (I have to reformat the card is the message). As said on Linux PC there are no problems.

I saw the Osmo 4 remote can wake up the camera for up to 30 mins once the Osmo 4 goes to sleep...it would be so much better if you could select longer periods of time like 1-3 hours.  I'd like to put the remote on the handlebars of my motorcycle and a longer period of time would be so much better.  Let us decide if we want longer periods...thanks!

In the latest release, there's a bug where action4 fails to shut down properly. When the QS button is long-pressed to turn off, the system automatically boots up again within 3 to 5 seconds. Here's the reproduction sequence for debugging:

1. After a normal boot-up, plug in the USB type-c connection to a PC and select OTG mode.
2. Directly unplug the type-c cable, then long-press the QS button to power off.
3. action4 gets stuck in an auto-reboot loop. The only workaround currently is to disable the Snapshot feature; only then does it shut down normally without auto-rebooting.

In regards to the back screen while on webcam mode, please set the screen-off time, go to the drop-down menu, and tap “Settings” -> “Scrn Off When Rec”. The screen will not turn off unless recording in Webcam mode starts. Hope this helps. Thank you for your continued support.

Hi man, did you found a way to update it? I'm on the same situation. Fw 90.00.00.10 and I tried with 4 different devices (2 iphone and 2 android phones), none of these show me the fw update popup on the mimo app.

How did you solve your problem? I have a camera with the same firmware. It turned out that the camera in the factory packaging was activated even before the date of its purchase by me. At startup, the camera did not require activation. According to specialists, the FW V90.00.0010 installed in the camera is unusual and may be a test.

I just managed to sort mine out yesterday. The camera connects to Mimo and then it almost directly goes into ‘view’ mode but underneath, it was downloading the firmware while I used the camera. This all happened automatically and it wasn’t until the firmware was fully downloaded (behind the scenes as it were) that I saw the yellow box pop up and ask if I wanted it installed.

I’m wondering whether you have the same ….. it needs to download fully before you get the notification.

I don’t think the GoOro app works the same way. It notifies and then you ask it to download. I think Mimo is doing it in the background while the phone is connected and that takes a little while.

That's what firmware v90.00.00.10 means - DJI's answer:
"DJI Action 4 SN: **************  is a demo unit and display machine only and it will not be able to update any firmware.   WIth that being said, please reach out to your dealer or reseller at ************* to request for the return"

Hi there. The 90.00.01.10 is the retailer's demo unit firmware, which is unable to upgrade and will auto-format your SD card. Please contact your retailer for a return or replacement. Have a great day ahead.

The dealer returned the funds after an official response from the DJI support service. I already bought another DJI action camera.
