Is it possible to pull focus with the focus-wheel on a S5IIx? The recording works but when i turn the focus-Wheel the camera activates the zoom-in function. thanks for your suggestions.

Same here, my S5 pull focus without Manual Focus Assist while recording and my new S5IIx does. Cant make it go away..

I just want to say that this bug is a frustrating issue for me too. When my S5II is not connected to the gimbal and MF Assist is set to off, the manual focus works as it should and doesn't show the pop up box. However when connected to the gimbal (RS3) via USB-C, the focus wheel forces the MF Assist box to appear. DJI, if you're listening, this makes manual focus via USB-C unusable for many Panasonic cameras.
