Silage is nicely baled and ready for storage.  Lovely sunrise. It's about three weeks since I saw one that good.

Farmer is still cutting and bailing,   Ive just used 5 batteries trying to get some footage of the bail being ejected from the machine, sadly it's really windy out there so each battery got clobbered.

thanks DT,   its funny stuff,  if you get too close it just disappears,  and I dont think its caused by prop wash.

Hes still busy making more today,  tried to film the machine spitting out a complete one,     used 5 batteries in the end.

I've got some archive footage of one of those machines at work.

I did manage to see it,   but I think my framing was awful as I didnt expect him yo stop and reverse to unload it.     He didnt make many an hour either which I found surprising.

I think it's about 3-4 minutes per bale if memory serves.

It was one every 20 minutes I from what I saw,  his machine was very small.  I'll post something in the coming days.

6 flights in total I think it was. just one today,   got a lot of chores to catch up on and then this afternoon Ive got to go to the art gallery and then see a few people on the way back,  and then go to storage and collect my offsite backup disks.

I'm going to head out for a dive today and tomorrow on this old sunken ship and see if the hurricane whipped the bottom silt up enough to uncover anything new.  I'm sure the treasure hunters will be out in droves on the beaches with their metal detectors because unusual finds are made after hurricanes blow through.

Yikes it was a mad day in the end,  and I was sure bushed by the end of it.    But I dropped into the art galary with three prints and the two people that processed the application seemed to really like them,  one guy was really interested in how infrared photography works so we spent some time discussing how the cameras are modified etc.    Sadly these are the people that will select the work for the exhibition so we'll see what happens.

I found a couple of interesting items but no gold.  I found 2 cannon balls and a super old anchor.  No cannon so I'm thinking it had already been found and retrieved.  Going back again today but to an alternate location that is a bit further out and also deeper.

Hopefully they will appreciate the intriguing effects that IR photography produces.  The colors and textures take on such unique properties when using IR.  I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

So if you are digging up a garden in your back yard and find some ancient coins buried there you have to report them?

If theres 2 or more coins then yes I believe you do.   It all gets very complicated.  The government have websites for how to report and what to report -

Well that is kind of an odd trade-off.  So I guess you traded the rain for lots of cloud cover.
