How many would purchase the RC Pro if it were compatible with O4? And how many RC Pro owners would also purchase an O4 drone if the RC Pro were compatible.

I would have bought the Air 3 if it were compatible, went with a used Mavic 3 Classic.

DJI, how many sales are you losing over this?

I would have purchased several additional drones if my RC Pro Enterprise was compatible with other Mavic 3's. The hardware is the exact same between the two RC Pro models no matter what DJI admins try to say.

I have not got the Air 3 as yet but if it does start working with RC Pro then I will surely get an Air 3.

Personally would give the Air3 a miss, as I did with the Air2 series. Don't know what I'm missing out on the O4 side, but so far I can't see any features I'm missing out from the Air3 that the Mavic3 Pro doesn't have and 'perceptibly' does better. By the way, I will buy the Mini4 Pro regardless.

DJI will be accused of being dishonest if they made the RC Pro compatible and sold a bunch of them at $1200 and then right around Christmas, they came out with RC Pro 2 with a larger, brighter screen, O4, the most range of any controller, lightweight, GPS/remote ID, $799, compatible with all drones on the market including FPV and Avata and Mini2/Mavic2.  We would literally have a revolt.

Same here. I wanted to try the Air 3 because of the internal fan as well, but not if I need another radio...

I cant think of any technical reasons why they couldnt do it,   its all SDR radio at the end of the day.

Like you said... Air2S was ok with either O2 or O3, so not sure of why they didn't apply the same principle...

And because of that, I think that the Air2S is still the better option for taking pictures...

Pictures yes,  video probably not.

They won't. For some reason they will only show for the account that did the first activation. I tried to get my Mavic 3 Classid displayed and DJI told me this.

I got the N1 with the M3 then got the RC Pro by itself and the RC with the Mini3 Pro... Haven't used either the N1 or the RC in ages...

If the mini 4 pro comes in a fly more kit with the RC remote and it’s compatible with my Mavic 3 I’m all in

customers don't buy anything unless they want it and if they want it, they will buy it....regardless.

for all those who say they are withholding their purchase until....how many times are we expected to fall for that nonsense?

no lte module, won't buy it.  no kit with rc pro, won't buy it.  no waypoints, won't buy it.  no sdk, i'm returning it.  can't downgrade my software, i'm returning it.  can't use 2 remotes at one time, don't want it.  can't use goggles, i won't buy it.  no drone only sku, not buying the kit.

c'mon.

it's all talk.  dji has the numbers and the numbers don't lie.  dji can't make enough product to sell to everybody who wants one...or three.  dji has a business to run, they arent a caterer.  if you don't buy it today, you'll buy it tomorrow.

As I responded to Monkey007, I was prepared to buy the Air 3, had the money in hand. BUT, it is not compatible with the RC Pro. Instead I bought a second hand Mavic 3 Classic. A MUCH bettr drone that works perfectly with the RC Pro.

They'll get you on the new round.  All the Air 3's are all spoken for anyway, at least they got you into a Classic.

Can't agree more! You hit the nail right on its head! Unless one is REALLY using a consumer level drone solely to make money, otherwise these drones are only toys to most, if not all of us. In a ideal world, we follow our hearts when we buy toys.

DJI is also familiar with another term:  Bygones.

People will forgive DJI like there is no tomorrow.  Wait until you see the Mavic 4 Pro Cine.

I can't claim to know the sales figures but I believe the Mini 4 Pro will be wildly popular and DJI won't be able to make enough of them.  DJI should launch a second "recreational" sku as the mini 4 drone that does not require RID and then provide it as an optional sw update so they can have a healthy amount of mini drones out there known as "ghost" drones.
Autel Nano has RID so few sub-250g popular drones left.
