DJI just released a update for the DJI AIR 3:

Well said, especially when this feature is improving safety a LOT. It's forbidden to fly with dji mini 4 pro above 120m but you can't see what's nearby your air 3 when air 3 have exactly same obstacle avoidance sensors as mavic 3 series

Seems that SoC supports the Vision, the hardware seems to be almost the same as Mavic 3 at Air 3, is same P1 chipset and same 32bit core cpu....
Is just a problem of codes to unlock this to AIR 3.... simple , right? 5 minutes work !

Perhaps, but this being a security issue as no more "blind fly", I believe DJI have interest in solving it, in order not to change so many drones and minimize the rate of damages...
Also is a plus in our work, being more secure....

Please make Vision Assist available for the Air 3, since they are the same spec in terms of hardware. It's a win win for DJI and consumers, with Vision Assist, it will definitely increase the sales of Air 3. On top of that, it will also make potential buyer to get the Air 3 because of the chance to lower crash scenario using this feature.

Well, this is a must have for the Air 3, specially while using the 3x camera, when the FOV is limited and can be dangerous in certain circumstances.

DJI is probably implementing it for O4, which by the way should have more transmission capacity (bandwidth) than its predecessor O3+ used in Mavic 3 series.

It would also be great to have the possibility of using a second screen (with an external phone, tablet or HDMI portable screen) to display the Vision Assistant there while keeping the main camera in the remote control screen, or viceversa.

They just released a update on  2-11-2023 without vision assist. I think they will NOT do it for the AIR 3
