How far from the building/stadium/tower one should be to perform a POI video? Suppose you want to go around a stadium (which itself would be a large structure with 50 meter radius) how far one has to be to encirlce it in a POI shot?

Viewing area is 82,1°, sensor size is 33x25.4mm, which means you need a distance of approx 33m to capture 50m. For more calculations you can use this page:

Hi, Harper. Thank you for reaching out. There is no certain distance required, it is based on the subject. The aircraft tracks the subject in a circle based on the set radius and flight speed. Move the roll stick to circle the subject, pitch stick to alter the distance from the subject, throttle stick to change the altitude, and yaw stick to adjust the frame. Hopefully, other users can provide their insights as well.

Thanks _SoP_. Excellent replay. Makes us think from the perspective of Physics. In this video the build I wanted to circl around was too huge, And I don't want to lose my drone. So I stuck to just ariel shot and doing a 360 roation on the z-axis.

For this building I am guessing you have to be at least 40 meter height (ideally 50 to 60 meter) and 200 meters away to do a sensible POI shot.
