Questions for DJI:

- I see that the new DJI Mini 4 has the - CAT C0 - label, how can I obtain one for my DJI mini 3 pro?
- I have a DJI mini 3 pro combo, does DJI have an upgrade plan / trade in / trade up program to obtain the new DJI mini 4 pro? At what cost?

u do realize that altitude limit will be hardcoded to 120m max (mini4pro) from previous 500m (mini3pro). do u want that?

I don't fly above the legal 120 meters!

The 120 limit is for only Europe. In the  US you only have to get a permit to fly above 120

There are plenty of perfectly legal reasons to fly above 120m from the takeoff point.  Hills and buildings for one.

Okay, but even in Belgium you have some hills and the 120m a based on groundlevel of starting-point,
so you will not be able anymore to fly above hills...

Why would you want the C0 label?   As legacy <249g its far less restricted.

That isnt the case for C0 drones.

That category states a blanket 120m limitation.

So if you want a C0 compliant drone, it'll require a firmware update to cap that.

If you want C0 then 120m has to be "finalised".

If you're happy as legacy then it doesnt - just dont update in April.

We are getting near the end of 2023, how do we get the promised C0 sticker label for the mini 3 pro?

Why does anyone want a C0 label for their sub 250g drone. Am I missing something ?

That is why you want a C0 label in europe. In 2024 you woll have to fly under A1-A3, which has more limitations and you will have to have a A1-A3 certificate. With the C0 label you don't need the certificate.

A <250g drone purchased before the transition can still fly A1 without the C label,  only new drones get penalised for it.
