I power up the Phantom 2 Vision. Wait for the slow flashing Green light and then get it to take off.
I then take it up 5 metres and try to get it to hover. Every time I try it sticks around for 1 or two seconds and then accelerates off to the left or right. If I let it go, it goes for 10-15 metres before I regain control.

Am I doing something wrong? Is the GPS not correctly locked?

Thanks

Jon

The assistant software_3.6 will help you to find out the cause.

Please contact with DJI if need help.

The compass module, the IMU and stick need to be calibrated correctly.

If not the copter can't fly normally. Please kindly tell us how the LED light flicker.

This definitely sounds like calibration issues. Need to get it connected to a computer and run the tests and calibrations. Please let us know what you find out after you calibrate.

Funny, I had similar proble on my vision, my case was, as it had a mind on its own sometimes, later on was happy to know that it was just a camera settings on the app, look into the vision cam app settings its right above the manual camera scroll, hope that fixes the problem

Did you calibrate the Transmitter controls in the RC Ap and then in the Assistant App?

If the Controls are not calibrated it may cause the result you are experiencing

An easy way to tell is to test on the ground. Once you receive the GPS lock signal check the green flashing LEDs.

If it flashes once pauses and flashes Once and repeats all is OK.

If it flashes Green twice then a Pause it means that the controls are not centred.

Once the transmitter sticks are off centre the flashing Green will become a double flashing Green.

If yours is doing this with the sticks centred it requires a calibration.

Cheers
