I have noticed Timelapse does not do portrait mode, only landscape. When rotating the screen, it stays in landscape regardless if the video is not recording.

Are there plans to enable portrait mode Timelapse?

The screen orientation and the image orientation are (or can be) independent. Switch the image to the portrait mode.

Ahh I just figured it out. The rotation was locked to landscape mode in the settings on the device. I set it to auto rotation and now it switches to whatever view the screen is in.   This was working on video, but apparently Timelapse has its own setting you can accessed while in that mode.  Strange “hidden” feature.
