Lake Doxa is an artificial lake located in the Feneos region of Corinth, at an altitude of 900 meters. It was created in the late 1990s with the construction of a dam on the Doxa river, with the aim of irrigating the Feneos valley.
The lake is about 1.5 kilometers long, up to 500 meters wide and 30 meters deep at most. Its waters are crystal clear and reflect the green mountains of the surrounding area. In the center of the lake is the small church of Agios Fanourios, which is a popular photo spot.
Lake Doxa is one of the most beautiful and popular tourist attractions of mountainous Corinthia. It offers many opportunities for nature activities such as hiking, biking, fishing and canoeing.
A lovely sunny drive above the mist hanging in the valley, and I guess the causeway linking the chapel to the mainland allowed continued access to the interior. Wonderful views again, Tasos.
