I just did some tests around JPG and DNG. I found for one shot two file, as expected. BUT:

File 1 JPG size 5724kb (3840x2160px)
File 2 DNG size 17021kb (1280x720px)

So yes, I was expection DNG lager as JPG but the resolution is much lower. Am I missing out a setting? I seached here, Google and Youtube. But it seems to be only me having it.

Hi there. Thank you for reaching out. RAW format is a kind of unprocessed and uncompressed format for original data obtained from the sensor. It is recommended to open images in this format with Adobe Photoshop. This cannot be opened directly through common software for viewing pictures. However, some picture-viewing software (such as ACDSee) is able to parse and open a micro-image. As such, we recommend using Adobe Photoshop to open DNG files. Hope this helps. Ok, you are right, Windows and Irfan showing the wrong resolution, in PS and LR it is correct. Sorry for that. We can close this down ;-)

The 1280x720px is the resolution of the preview image which is embedded into the DNG file.
