Hi,

Had a flight in high winds the other day, full forward stick and against the wind only 2 m/s speed. ( but great steady video recordings! )
At home watching the flightdata and screen recordings i noticed a precision landing in axction
But at takeoff i did not hover at 8 meters or so for some time before flying from position.

HomePoint was set before takeoff and updated just after takeoff
Mini4pro did correct 1.7 meter to land at my drone case (where it started the flight)

To obtain Precision Landing you don't need to hover at all. Just go straight up at least 22'(7 m. ) before flying away from HP.

I go up 2 meters then fly around and still get precise landings.

I think its changed now, for previous drones it was automatic, you had to tick the box for PL when auto-taking off, it would then rise up to Xm (6 or 7m) then you'd be good to fly.

I wouldn't have thought that 2m would be a large enough area for it to pick out the spot, but your post shows otherwise so obviously DJI have lowered the threshold, perhaps a better sensor over the previous drones is the reason. I do miss PL, thats for sure, it has its uses. I also like all the wee extras on the Mini 4 Pro. I just can't afford it, unless i got rid of both the P4P and the Mini 3 Pro, 1st, i am tempted...

was the phantom series any good? I haven't heard anything about them. I know they are old, but would you even get money for the p4p?

Looks like its OOS and thats for the V2, slight upgrade in transmission, i.e. it can be used with the RC Pro whereas my v1 cant.

I have 4 decent batteries, many props, the Manfrotto D1 navigator bag, it will have brand new legs and a top section when i can be asked to sort that out lol it will get rid of the stress cracks that these Phantoms are renowned for, it will be worth every penny thats for sure

Not sure why, but I always have this with Vimeo here.
YT is fine though.
