When I start to record, it changes the focus of the buttons, not the camera focus, but the order of the buttons. I want the ability so I can press record and then have the ability not to lose the focus of the focal length, currently, I have to hit the mode button to change it back to focal length.

I have managed to resolve this now. It was a question of understanding the menu options correctly.
