Using OP3 for a few days now. I'm looking for a way to lock the focus  + light metering on a subject and benefit of the continuous focusing if the subject moves.like continuous focus

Actually the issue is that when you are filming something lets say in the distance, if something is passing/moving between you and your subject, the cam is trying to focus on that moving subject. Which I do not want.


I can then put the cam on single focus, but if my subject is then moving, it will defocus. This I don't want too.


What is needed here is something like the active track but not to follow automatically the subject, but just to make sure it is always locked in focus, with the right exposure.
So continuous focus but lock on the subject.

Hello there. I hope you're doing well. Were you using the AFC mode? It automatically continues focusing on subjects in the frame without the need for manually selecting a target.

Does the single focus mode not do this?
I've only ever used continuous up until now!
