When the battery runs low, will the drone Auto RTH? Or must I initiate the RTH when I see the warning.  Can I ignore the warning and land at a spot other than home?

The drone will RTH providing that, in that flight, it has previously NOT started a Low battery RTH that has been cancelled.
I would suggest that, in a safe place, you work your way through all the RTH behaviours in the manual. Better to encounter them for the first time in a practice session than in a 'real' flight.

To avoid unnecessary danger caused by insufficient power, the aircraft automatically calculates if the battery is power is sufficient to return to the home point according to the current position, environment, and flight speed. A warning prompt will appear in the DJI Fly when the battery level is low and only enough to complete the RTH procedures. I hope this information helps. Cheers!
