before take off "HP set" message
take off: move  off HP maybe 30 ft, get message "HP updated"
Does ths mean that there is a new HP? OR the original HP has a more solid signal?

Drone's often seem to set or reset the home point as they lift off of very shortly there after.
Providing the drone has not moved horizontally in that time it should be of no consequence.
If you are concerned about the whereabouts go the home point, fly the drone out beyond any RTH behaviour distance thresholds and do an RTH. If the apparent home point is not to your satisfaction bring the drone overhead and reset the home point to the drone's location.

Select before takeoff the radar display.
Take off and check the "H".

In the picture:  H is at the blue RC, so HP is set oke.  no need to do a RTH check to be sure...

Indeed HP is set again direct after takeoff, so this HP is used for a RTH.

Hi there. Yes, it is the current home point. If the GPS signal is insufficient when takeoff and the home point cannot be recorded successfully, the drone will update the home point when it obtains sufficient GPS signal. Have a great day.
