You should be able to get use out of your Phantom 4 Standard for some time yet.
It may be, that your Smartphone is not compatible with DJI Go4.
One solution may be, to pick up a cheap second-hand Android phone such as a Samsung Galaxy S7. This will run DJI Go4, no problem.
Or, you could try the alternative App LITCHI. I flew my Phantom 4 Standard using both those options, for two years without issues, before moving to smaller, more portable drones.
